STATEMENT OF FAITH

Who God Is
God is the only necessary being, with infinite and eternal attributes made up of three persons in one: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He calls Himself YHWH - I Am who I Am

Holy - Completely other, altogether unique and set apart in perfection; unfathomable, indescribable and totally incomparable to any other.

Almighty - Everpresent, all-knowing, all-powerful and ever existent (Alpha and Omega).

Love - Full of intimate grace and mercy, compassion and kindness in complete fulfillment alone.

Righteous - Without fault, pure, spotless and blameless perfection, worthy to judge all, dividing right and wrong.

His Works
The triune God is the only being not created. He was before all things and time, self-sustaining and self-fulfilling. He demonstrated His perfect attributes through His works.

Creation - God created the heavens and the earth and all things in them because of His desire to share His love and receive glory. Everything He made was good. He is always intimately involved with developing and sustaining His creation.

Covenant - In the beginning God established a special relationship with the people He created, to know Him and be with Him. He continued to establish special covenants with His chosen people to bless them for their obedience and show His unconditional faithfulness even when they were disobedient. His covenant was completely fulfilled in the promised Messiah through the incarnation of the Son.

Incarnation - Because of His agape love, God Himself became a man in the person of Jesus to be the perfect example and perfect sacrifice in fulfillment of the prpohesied Messiah.

Redemption - Humanity's continual unfaithfulness caused separation from God. By their own works men could not appease the wrath of God. So the Messiah came to lay down His life to restore that relationship through dying on the cross, offering forgiveness for man's sins and extinguishing God's wrath.

Resurrection - On the third day Jesus, the Son of God, rose from the grave conquering sin and death and making all who believe new creations, giving them eternal life.

Commission - God calls His people to parnter in His work of making disciples and build a community of Christ's Kingdom. He continues His mission through the indwelling and empowering of His Holy Spirit, who was promised and given to all who believe.

Inspiration - God speakes to His people. All scripture is God's inspired word spoken through ordinary men, guided by the Holy Spirit to reveal Himself. It is used for teaching, convicting, correcting and training in righteousness to equip the Church for His work.

Judgment - Jesus has been given all authority to judge the living and the dead. All creation will come before Him on the final day to be accountable for their lives. Those who rejected Christ will be eternally seperated from God. But those having the imparted righteousness of Jesus Christ will be saved and enter into the new heavens and new earth for eternity. Here, Christ will fully rule over God's Kingdom and people.

Our Response
We have an amazing priviledge to be a part of God's Kingdom and share in His beauty. He deserves our total commitment and service.

Glorify God - All creation was made to bring glory to the Maker. As man was specially created in the image of God, he has the responisibility to worship and honor his Creator. We glorify Him by acknowledging who He is and what He has done.

Know Him - God designed His creation to walk intimately with Him. But we rebelled from the beginning and were cut off from God. However, in grace He pursuded us and calls us to return and abide in Him through Jesus. And we are to develop a loving relationship with God that is nurtured through open and honest communication. We must love Him with all our heart, soul, mind and spirit.

Make Him Known - Those who Know God are given the mission to also make Him known. The entire world must know of the loving God who gave Himself to redeem his creation. We love others by sacrificing to share the good news of Jesus Christ, the son of God.

Enjoy Life in Him - As a new creation, we are able to enjoy an abundant life with God now. He calls us in unity to continue establishing His Kingdom on earth by walking in the Holy Spirit until the day comes when His reign is fully realized in the new heavens and new earth.
